UK Service Engineer

About the Role

This is a field-based Service Engineer position focused on servicing, repairing, and calibrating gas analysers and instrumentation. The role combines hands-on technical work with customer interaction and a degree of commercial awareness.

You will support customers across the UK, Ireland, and internationally, ensuring equipment operates reliably while also identifying opportunities to promote service offerings and add value during site visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair gas monitoring and instrumentation equipment
• Perform calibration, maintenance, and system upgrades
• Travel to customer sites across the UK, Ireland, and internationally
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Manage service tools, equipment, and spare parts
• Provide technical support and updates to customers
• Identify and communicate sales opportunities to the commercial team
• Promote service contracts and additional services
• Work closely with sales to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction

• Proven experience in a service or field engineering role (electrical/electronic bias)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and customer-facing ability
• Commercial awareness and ability to support sales activity
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
