We are a leading organisation within the testing, inspection, and certification industry, delivering advanced solutions that support safety, quality, and innovation across global markets.

As part of our process analysis and gas analytics services, we are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to drive growth across key industrial sectors. This role combines strategic sales leadership with technical expertise and offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment with regular collaboration on-site in Essen.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical background and proven experience in B2B sales who is looking to make a meaningful impact in a specialised and evolving industry.

 

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, manage, and execute sales strategies across sectors including industrial gases, petrochemicals, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and semiconductors
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to generate new business and deliver tailored technical solutions
  • Drive business growth by expanding existing accounts, reactivating former customers, and building long-term client relationships
  • Identify and develop new opportunities within process gas testing, including areas such as nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, and quality assurance services
  • Work with marketing teams to support campaigns, events, and initiatives that increase market presence and revenue
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, trade fairs, and professional forums

 

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant STEM discipline such as chemical engineering, process engineering, analytical chemistry, electrical engineering, or measurement technology
  • Strong background in process analytics or gas analysis technologies (for example gas chromatography)
  • Proven experience in technical B2B sales or business development, including managing the full sales cycle
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience negotiating and engaging with senior decision-makers
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken), additional languages such as Dutch are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 70%)
