About this role
This is a remote, field based Technical Support Specialist role within the Food and Beverage sector, ideally based in South East UK, covering the south west London area. The role supports food, beverage and dairy manufacturing environments by delivering expert technical service and consultation to both new and existing customers.
You will act as a trusted technical partner, providing guidance on cleaning and sanitation programmes, identifying optimisation opportunities and helping customers improve hygiene performance, operational efficiency and sustainability.
In this role, you will design and carry out technical, self initiated studies and make recommendations based on your findings. You will apply a broad range of scientific and engineering principles, theories and concepts, while providing hands on technical support and product optimisation advice. A strong working knowledge of industrial CIP systems and associated automation linked to plant hygiene and cleaning practices is essential.
The role involves regular travel to customer sites, typically four to five days per week, within a defined regional territory.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a motivated, technically capable individual with experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly within distilling or brewing environments.
You will bring:
- Experience working in the distillery or brewery sector
- Previous experience in a technical support role focused on food safety
- Strong knowledge of hygiene processes and CIP systems within the distilling or brewing industry
- Equipment and technical expertise with digital solutions such as CIP and COP systems, 3DT CIP and MCI, with a value added mindset
- A high level of self drive and motivation, with the ability to work independently in a field based role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience using Power BI and digital applications
Additional requirements:
- Based within South East UK, ideally within 50 to 70 km of the south west London area
- Willing and able to travel regularly within the region
- Full UK driving licence with an acceptable motor vehicle record
