About the Role
This is a field-based engineering role focused on servicing, maintaining, and commissioning a wide range of Measurement & Analytics instrumentation. You will work directly with customers across North West and Central England, providing technical support, resolving issues, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently.
Alongside hands-on service work, you will build strong customer relationships, identify opportunities to improve performance, and support the rollout of digital service solutions. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, problem solving, and customer interaction, with some travel and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out breakdown repairs, servicing, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation equipment
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot technical issues on-site and remotely
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance and ensure equipment reliability
- Work with customers to identify improvements and reduce operational issues
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and service documentation
- Support digital service solutions and wider service offerings
- Ensure high standards of health, safety, and professionalism at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in field service, maintenance, or instrumentation within industrial environments
- Background in sectors such as water, power, oil & gas, or chemicals (preferred)
- ONC/HNC in Instrumentation, Measurement & Control or similar, or relevant apprenticeship
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and ability to work independently
- IT literacy (MS Office)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
