Job Description

This role is with an established civil construction contractor focused on site development for commercial and public-sector projects. The company delivers a wide range of civil works including underground utilities, drainage systems, paving, and major earthwork packages, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and dependable project delivery.

The Estimator will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive pricing for civil construction projects of varying size and complexity. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, this position plays a critical role in supporting successful bids and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for civil construction projects, including utilities, drainage, paving, and earthworks
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and related documentation to define project scope
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to gather pricing and technical input
• Prepare detailed cost summaries, bid packages, and tender submissions
• Maintain current pricing data, cost histories, and vendor information
• Assist project management teams with budget tracking and cost control during project execution

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in estimating within civil construction or a related field
• Strong understanding of site development, underground utilities, and earthwork operations
• Ability to accurately interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
• High level of numerical accuracy and analytical capability
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office tools
