Job Description
Role Overview
This role is the product expert and primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders relating to the CEMS and Process product range. The position is customer and quality focused, with appropriate autonomy to effectively manage customer relationships across the EMEA region.
Location & Working Pattern
- Office presence required 1–2 days per week in Bakewell
- Candidates based in the North of England are best placed for this role
- Regular worldwide travel required, including several nights away per month if required, covering the EMEA region
Key Responsibilities
- Fully understand the global CEMS & Process market, competitors, and customers
- Manage all customer relationships for the CEMS & Process product range, including end users, distributors, consultants, and contractors
- Support the global distributor network and territory managers, developing key relationships and managing opportunities
- Contribute to overall sales strategy, targets, and pricing
- Drive year-on-year growth of global market share
- Work with R&D to ensure products meet global requirements and stay ahead of the competition
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase instrument capabilities to potential clients
- Prepare and deliver accurate price quotations and detailed sales proposals
- Provide pre-sales technical support, advising on installation, troubleshooting, and training
- Provide sales forecasts and demand projections to support inventory and production planning
- Maintain accurate sales records, contracts, and agreements
- Monitor and engage with opportunities on Tenderlake and the CODEL Portal
Essential Requirements
- High level of technical competence; advanced knowledge of Electronics Engineering and working knowledge of complex service issues within the CEMS product range
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Industrial Sales (not necessarily directly related to monitoring)
- Proven track record of success in a sales/business development role
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide, including several nights away as required
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong relationship-building, influencing and negotiation skills
- Solid understanding of marketing principles and cost-effectiveness (targeting, product offer development, up/cross-selling)
- Demonstrable success managing key accounts, portfolios, or contracts
- Excellent leadership and people skills
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desirable
- Engineering qualification to HND level or equivalent experience
- Experience with tenders and developing new markets
- Knowledge of SAP
